Je to jeden z nejjednodu\u0161\u0161\u00edch a nejb\u011b\u017en\u011bj\u0161\u00edch polymer\u016f. M\u00e1 proto m\u00e9n\u011b siln\u00e9 mezimolekul\u00e1rn\u00ed s\u00edly, proto\u017ee okam\u017eit\u00e1 dip\u00f3lov\u00e1 p\u0159ita\u017elivost indukovan\u00e1 dip\u00f3lem je men\u0161\u00ed. To m\u00e1 za n\u00e1sledek ni\u017e\u0161\u00ed pevnost v tahu a zv\u00fd\u0161enou ta\u017enost. LDPE vznik\u00e1 polymerac\u00ed voln\u00fdmi radik\u00e1ly. Vysok\u00fd stupe\u0148 v\u011btven\u00ed s dlouh\u00fdmi \u0159et\u011bzci d\u00e1v\u00e1 roztaven\u00e9mu LDPE jedine\u010dn\u00e9 a \u017e\u00e1douc\u00ed tokov\u00e9 vlastnosti. LDPE se pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 jak pro pevn\u00e9 n\u00e1doby, tak pro plastov\u00e9 f\u00f3lie, jako jsou plastov\u00e9 s\u00e1\u010dky a f\u00f3liov\u00e9 obaly.<br \/>\nLDPE Polyethylen je nejb\u011b\u017en\u011bji pr\u016fmyslov\u011b vyr\u00e1b\u011bn\u00fd plast. R\u016fzn\u00e9 typy polyethylenu jsou ozna\u010dov\u00e1ny podle sv\u00e9 hustoty. N\u00edzkohustotn\u00ed polyethylen, tj. polyethylen s hustotou mezi 0,91 a 0,94 g\/cm\u00b3, se obvykle ozna\u010duje jako LDPE. LDPE se pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 hlavn\u011b pro obalov\u00e9 produkty. Glob\u00e1ln\u00ed tr\u017eby generovan\u00e9 s LDPE dos\u00e1hly v roce 2013 t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 33 miliard USD a pr\u016fzkum trhu o\u010dek\u00e1v\u00e1, \u017ee tr\u017eby do roku 2021 vzrostou o 1,5 % ro\u010dn\u011b.<br \/>\nLDPE se nej\u010dast\u011bji pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 k v\u00fdrob\u011b f\u00f3li\u00ed. P\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b 63 % celkov\u00e9 popt\u00e1vky poch\u00e1z\u00ed z v\u00fdroby f\u00f3li\u00ed, p\u0159i\u010dem\u017e balic\u00ed f\u00f3lie tvo\u0159\u00ed nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed pod\u00edl na trhu v tomto sektoru. S\u00e1\u010dky a pytle, stejn\u011b jako dal\u0161\u00ed f\u00f3lie, se um\u00edstily na druh\u00e9m a t\u0159et\u00edm m\u00edst\u011b. Dal\u0161\u00edmi d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fdmi aplikacemi jsou pevn\u00e9 obaly a stavebn\u00ed v\u00fdrobky. Na glob\u00e1ln\u00ed \u00farovni nab\u00edz\u00ed segment stavebn\u00edch v\u00fdrobk\u016f nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed r\u016fstov\u00fd potenci\u00e1l v p\u0159\u00ed\u0161t\u00edch n\u011bkolika letech d\u00edky nov\u00fdm investic\u00edm do infrastrukturn\u00edch projekt\u016f. V Asii naopak nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed r\u016fstov\u00fd potenci\u00e1l nab\u00edzej\u00ed zejm\u00e9na f\u00f3lie, zejm\u00e9na balic\u00ed f\u00f3lie z LDPE, proto\u017ee asijsk\u00e9 zem\u011b se st\u00e1le v\u00edce p\u0159izp\u016fsobuj\u00ed z\u00e1padn\u00edm standard\u016fm pro balen\u00e9 potraviny.<br \/>\nV glob\u00e1ln\u00edm srovn\u00e1n\u00ed je extruze f\u00f3lie nejb\u011b\u017en\u011bj\u0161\u00ed technologi\u00ed pro zpracov\u00e1n\u00ed LDPE. Jin\u00e9 technologie, zejm\u00e9na extruzn\u00ed povlakov\u00e1n\u00ed, vst\u0159ikov\u00e1n\u00ed plast\u016f a dal\u0161\u00ed procesy, jako je vyfukov\u00e1n\u00ed a rota\u010dn\u00ed tv\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed, tvo\u0159\u00ed tr\u017en\u00ed pod\u00edl pouze 37 %. R\u016fzn\u00e9 regiony sv\u011bta vykazuj\u00ed pouze drobn\u00e9 rozd\u00edly, pokud jde o technologie zpracov\u00e1n\u00ed. Nap\u0159\u00edklad extruzn\u00ed povlakov\u00e1n\u00ed se v Severn\u00ed Americe pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 ne\u00fam\u011brn\u011b \u010dasto, zat\u00edmco v\u00fdchodoevropsk\u00e9 zem\u011b pou\u017e\u00edvaj\u00ed velk\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed LDPE nejen p\u0159i extruzi f\u00f3li\u00ed, ale tak\u00e9 p\u0159i vst\u0159ikov\u00e1n\u00ed plast\u016f.<\/p>\n<p>Plast se dostal do pop\u0159ed\u00ed b\u011bhem druh\u00e9 sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00e1lky, nejprve jako povlak na podvodn\u00ed kabely, pot\u00e9 jako kritick\u00fd izola\u010dn\u00ed materi\u00e1l pro tak d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 vojensk\u00e9 aplikace, jako jsou radarov\u00e9 kabely. A\u017e na konci v\u00e1lky byl plast vy\u0159azen z alokac\u00ed a uvoln\u011bn pro spot\u0159ebitelsk\u00e9 pou\u017eit\u00ed. Od t\u00e9 doby byl jeho n\u00e1r\u016fst popularity pro spot\u0159ebitelsk\u00e9 i pr\u016fmyslov\u00e9 pou\u017eit\u00ed tak pozoruhodn\u00fd, \u017ee se polyethylen stal prvn\u00edm plastem v USA, kter\u00e9ho se prodalo v\u00edce ne\u017e 1 miliarda liber ro\u010dn\u011b. Dnes je st\u00e1le nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edm objemem plast\u016f na sv\u011bt\u011b. Pou\u017eit\u00ed polyethylenu je mnoho a rozmanit\u00e9, v\u010detn\u011b: balic\u00edch f\u00f3li\u00ed; ta\u0161ek na odpadky, od\u011bvy, potraviny a n\u00e1kupn\u00ed ta\u0161ky; tvarovan\u00fdch dom\u00e1c\u00edch pot\u0159eb; t\u011bchto kontejner\u016f; potrub\u00ed; obla\u010dnosti; benz\u00ednov\u00fdch n\u00e1dr\u017e\u00ed; povlak\u016f a mnoha dal\u0161\u00edch. Polyethylen jsou termoplastick\u00e9 prysky\u0159ice z\u00edskan\u00e9 polymerac\u00ed plynu ethylenu [C<sub>2<\/sub>H<sub>4<\/sub>]. N\u00edzkomolekul\u00e1rn\u00ed polymery ethylenu jsou kapaliny pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00e9 jako maziva; st\u0159edn\u011b t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9 polymery jsou vosky m\u00edsiteln\u00e9 s paraf\u00ednem; a vysokomolekul\u00e1rn\u00ed polymery (tj. nad 6000) jsou materi\u00e1ly pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00e9 v plastik\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e9m pr\u016fmyslu.<\/p>\n<p>Polymery s hustotou v rozmez\u00ed od p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b 0,910 do 0,925 se naz\u00fdvaj\u00ed n\u00edzkohustotn\u00ed; ty s hustotou od 0,926 do 0,940 se naz\u00fdvaj\u00ed st\u0159edn\u011bhustotn\u00ed; a ty s hustotou od 0,941 do 0,965 a v\u00edce se naz\u00fdvaj\u00ed vysokohustotn\u00ed. Typy s n\u00edzkou hustotou se polymeruj\u00ed za velmi vysok\u00fdch tlak\u016f a teplot a typy s vysokou hustotou za relativn\u011b n\u00edzk\u00fdch teplot a tlak\u016f. Relativn\u011b nov\u00fd typ, naz\u00fdvan\u00fd line\u00e1rn\u00ed n\u00edzkohustotn\u00ed polyethylen, se vyr\u00e1b\u00ed r\u016fzn\u00fdmi procesy: v plynn\u00e9 f\u00e1zi, v roztoku, v suspenzi nebo za vysok\u00e9ho tlaku. Vysoce \u00fa\u010dinn\u00fd katalytick\u00fd syst\u00e9m napom\u00e1h\u00e1 polymeraci ethylenu a umo\u017e\u0148uje ni\u017e\u0161\u00ed teploty a tlaky, ne\u017e jak\u00e9 jsou pot\u0159ebn\u00e9 p\u0159i v\u00fdrob\u011b konven\u010dn\u00edho n\u00edzkohustotn\u00edho polyethylenu.
